What exactly is the Awaken™ Dual-Action Brow Wand?

The Awaken™ Dual-Action Brow Wand is a precision brow product that combines tint and hold in a single formula. The angled brush tip is engineered to deposit pigment in strokes the same width as a real brow hair — creating natural-looking fullness rather than drawn-on lines.

It was developed specifically for women with sparse, thinning, or changing brows — not as a product designed for younger women with full brows and repurposed for everyone else. The FeatherFlex hold system provides all-day wear without stiffness or clumping, and the Adaptive TintSync™ mineral pigments adjust to your natural brow tone so the result reads as your own coloring, not as something applied.

How is this different from a regular brow pencil or gel?

Brow pencils deposit color in lines that sit on the skin — which looks natural when there are plenty of existing hairs to blend with, but looks drawn on against sparse or thinning brows. Standard gels add texture and hold but don’t fill genuine gaps.

The Awaken™ Wand does something different: the precision angled tip deposits pigment in individual hair-like strokes that mimic the appearance of real brow hairs in sparse areas. Because the formula is lightweight and flexible, each stroke sits naturally alongside existing hairs rather than sitting on the skin as a visible line. The result is fullness that looks like it belongs there — not like something applied.

How long does it last through the day?

The FeatherFlex hold system is formulated for all-day wear — no fading, smudging, melting, or flaking. Whether you are in humidity, caught in rain, or simply going about a full day, it stays exactly as you applied it. It removes cleanly with your normal makeup remover or cleanser at the end of the day.

How long does one wand last?

With normal daily use — two to three presses per application, once a day — one wand lasts approximately 30 days. Women with very sparse brows who use slightly more product per application may find it lasts 3 to 4 weeks. This is why many of our customers choose the 2-pack or 3-pack, which brings the per-wand cost down significantly and ensures they never run out.

Will it work if my brows are very sparse or almost gone?

Yes — this is precisely what the Wand was made for. The precision angled tip creates individual hair-like strokes in sparse areas, building believable fullness that looks like it belongs there. Women with significant thinning consistently report the most noticeable results, because the starting contrast is greatest.

For very sparse brows, we recommend starting with two presses and building gradually. The formula can always be layered — starting light gives you the most control and the most natural result.

Can I use it alongside other brow products?

Yes. The Wand works beautifully on its own for everyday wear, and pairs well with brow pencils or powders for occasions where you want additional definition. Most women find, however, that after a few weeks with the Wand, their other brow products stay in the drawer.

Shade & application

How do I choose the right shade?

True Medium Brown works for the widest range of women — medium brown, dark blonde, and light brunette hair tones, across warm and cool undertones. When in doubt, start here.

Deep Espresso Black is for dark brown to black hair with cool or neutral undertones. It adds rich definition without looking harsh.

Warm Golden Brown is for natural blondes, warm-toned brunettes, and women with golden or peachy skin undertones. Also works beautifully for women with grey or silver brows who want a touch of warmth.

The most important rule: go one shade lighter than your instinct. Brow products deposit pigment at skin level as well as on the hair, and what looks right in the pan almost always looks darker in application. When between shades, always choose the lighter one — it can be layered, but a shade that reads too dark cannot be adjusted. Use our shade finder for a personalised recommendation.

What shade should I use if my brows have gone grey?

Do not match the grey — this is the most common mistake. A shade that exactly matches grey brow hairs will add no visible definition. Instead, choose a warm taupe or light to medium brown that sits between your original color and your current grey. This reads as naturally greyed brows rather than artificially colored ones.

For silver hair with cool undertones, True Medium Brown typically works well. For silver hair with warm undertones, Warm Golden Brown adds soft definition without looking incongruous. Use our shade finder for a recommendation based on your specific coloring.

How do I apply the Wand correctly?

Press the button two to three times to load the tip, then use short upward strokes in the direction your brow hairs naturally grow — working from the inner brow outward. Fill any sparse areas first, then use the tip to define the top edge, bottom edge, and tail. Finish by softening the inner third of the brow with very gentle strokes so the front fades naturally.

I ordered the wrong shade. Can I exchange it?

Yes. Email us at help@awakenbeautylab.com within 30 days of purchase with your order number and the shade you would like instead. We will arrange an exchange and send the correct shade to you. No need to return the original.

How do I remove it at the end of the day?

+

Your normal makeup remover removes it completely — a gentle cleanser, micellar water, or oil-based remover all work well. No scrubbing required. The same formula that holds all day releases cleanly at the end of it.

Is it safe for sensitive skin?

Free from parabens, phthalates, and synthetic fragrance. Developed with the delicate skin around the brow area in mind — an area that can become more sensitive over time. If you have concerns about a specific ingredient, the full ingredient list is available on the product page. If you have a known allergy or a diagnosed skin condition, we recommend consulting your dermatologist before use.

Is it vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes, Awaken Beauty Lab products are vegan and cruelty-free. This is not a marketing position or a trend we have adopted. It has been our standard from the beginning and will not change.

Can I use it if I am on medication or have a medical condition?

Free from the most common sensitizing ingredients. If you have a skin condition affecting the brow area or are taking medication that may affect your skin, we recommend reviewing the full ingredient list on the product page before use. When in doubt, consult your doctor.

Is it safe to use near the eyes?

The Awaken™ Wand is formulated for the brow area and is not intended for use directly on the eyelids or waterline. Avoid direct contact with the eye. If product contacts the eye, rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Where is the formula made?

Our products are manufactured by a specialized cosmetics facility and sold by Awaken Beauty Lab, an American-founded brand based in Overland Park, Kansas. Every product is held to our formula and quality standards before it reaches you.

How long does shipping take?

Most orders ship within 48 hours of purchase. You will receive a tracking number via email as soon as your order leaves our warehouse. US domestic orders typically arrive within 5–10 business days. International orders typically arrive within 10–15 business days, though customs processing can occasionally extend this.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes — free shipping on all US orders over $60. Orders under $60 are charged a flat shipping rate calculated at checkout. We do not offer international shipping at the moment.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship to most international destinations. Please note that international orders may be subject to customs duties or import taxes, which are the responsibility of the recipient. These charges vary by country and are not within our control.

Where is my order? I haven't received a tracking number.

Tracking emails are sent automatically when your order ships. If you have not received one within 3 business days of placing your order, please check your spam or junk folder first — they occasionally land there. If it is not there, email us at help@awakenbeautylab.com with your order number and we will look into it immediately.

Can I cancel or modify my order after placing it?

If your order has already shipped, our 30-day guarantee covers you for a full refund on the product price once it arrives.

Every Awaken Beauty Lab order comes with a complimentary 30-day guarantee. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason — if the shade is not right, if the product does not perform as described, or if it simply is not for you — email us within 30 days of receiving your order and we will refund the product price in full.

How do I request a refund or return?

Email us at help@awakenbeautylab.com with your order number and let us know what happened. We will process your refund promptly. You do not need to return the product. Refunds are issued to your original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

My product arrived damaged. What do I do?

We are sorry to hear that. Email us a photo of the damaged item at help@awakenbeautylab.com and we will send a replacement immediately — no need to return the original. We take full responsibility for products that arrive in anything less than perfect condition.

How quickly do you respond to emails?

Within 24 hours. Our team responds Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm CST. Messages received over the weekend are answered first thing Monday morning. We read every email ourselves and we take every question seriously.
