The Micro-Stroke Brow Pen was specifically designed to be applied directly onto skin, not built on top of existing hair like other typical brow pencils and products.
Meaning you can recreate the appearance of natural-looking brow hairs exactly where yours have thinned or completely stopped growing.
Brush tip
Quickly builds sparse areas with several soft, hair-like strokes at once.
Fine tip
Draws individual lines to fill in any remaining gaps, and detail along your tail & outer edges.
Build soft definition with individual strokes and a little skin visible between them.
Start with the color of your natural brows, or the shade they were before thinning. Then use the guide below to find the closest match.
Light BrownBest for golden blonde, strawberry blonde and warm light-brown hair.
BrownBest for light brown and neutral brunette hair.
Warm BrownBest for warm brunette and auburn hair.
Dark BrownBest for ash brown, cool-toned brunette and dark brown hair.
BlackBest for naturally black or very dark brows.
Stuck between two shades?
Go with the lighter one. On sparse brows, a slightly lighter shade usually gives the softest, most natural-looking result.
Start with clean, dry skin, even if you have very little brow hair. Both tips draw directly onto the skin. Use a light touch and build your brow a few strokes at a time.
1 · Brush tip
Start where brows are sparse
Gently touch the brush points to the skin. Draw short strokes upward at the front of your brow, then angle them outward toward the arch and tail. Leave a little space between strokes.
2 · Fine tip
Fill the small gaps
Turn the pen over. Use the single fine tip to add a few individual strokes through small gaps and along the tail. Stay within the brow shape you have just created.
3 · Check your brow
Keep the finish soft
Move back from the mirror and check your brow before adding more. Keep the same shape and add only a few light strokes where needed. Let the color dry before touching it.
A simple way to rememberBrush tip to build. Fine tip to finish.Use gentle pressure with both tips. A few separate strokes give a softer result than filling the whole brow with color.
01
Use less pressure than you think.
A light touch creates finer, more hair-like marks.
02
Use short strokes in the right direction. Point them upward at the front, then angle them outward through the arch and tail, even where no natural hairs remain.
03
Leave a little space.
Real brows have dimension, so avoid filling every space with color.
04
Build slowly.
It is easier to add another stroke than soften one that is too dark.
Your first application may take a little practice. Give yourself a few tries to find the pressure and angle that look most natural on you.

“I have hardly any brow hair left, especially at the ends, so I needed something that didn't need existing hair to be effective. My goodness I'm so happy I found this pen, it actually applies on my skin and looks realistic. I can still see skin between the strokes, which makes such a difference. My brows look like part of my face again!”
“Years of plucking left me with gaps that pencil always made look too solid. This pen lets me draw little strokes instead. A few through the patchy bits, a little detail at the tail... much softer. I feel put together without my brows being the first thing you notice!”
“My hands are not as steady as they used to be, so I take it slowly. I start with short, light strokes, then turn the pen around and use the fine tip wherever I need one more. Being able to do a little at a time suits me. No need to draw the whole brow in one go.”

I enjoy doing my makeup, but eyebrows have always been the fiddly part. With a pencil I tend to keep adding more until they’re darker than I wanted. This feels easier to build up gradually. I’ve filled the gaps and kept the front of each brow soft, very pleased with the finished look.
Store owner replied:
Amber this is such a great description of exactly how it is meant to work. Building gradually is the whole idea and it sounds like you have already found your rhythm with it. We are so pleased you are happy with the result. Thank you for sharing.
Store owner replied:
Julie this is exactly what we set out to do. Natural enough that they just look like your brows again. Thank you so much for sharing that and for the photo. We love hearing this.
This is a VERY close photo, so you can see what I mean. The tail used to look quite bare. Now it has some shape without looking like one long drawn-on line.
Store owner replied:
Suzanne thank you for taking the time to share such a close up look. The tail is one of the hardest areas to get right and you have nailed it. Shape without a drawn-on line is exactly the goal and your photo shows it perfectly.
The fine tip is the best bit for me. Much easier to fill one small gap at a time.
Store owner replied:
That is exactly what the fine tip is there for Shirley. One small gap at a time is the most natural way to build and we are glad it is clicking for you. Thank you for sharing.
Very pleased. My brows look finished without looking heavy.
This eyebrow pencil is pretty good with its two tips: one for a fine line and the other for two lines like a brush. After applying it to my hand, it holds well and is waterproof. We'll see how long it lasts, but I recommend it. I chose the brown color.
I really like this eyebrow pencil! i used the multiple hair strokes side and it works really well! the color i got is a little too dark for me (i got the dark brown) but i will probably order another one! i recommend this product!
Finding a brow color to go with my auburn hair has always been a challenge. Warm Brown gives me the depth I want. I start with a little and add strokes only where I need them so the finished brow still looks soft.
The thick brush side first followed by a couple of little detailed lines afterwards and my morning routine is complete. My brows look so much nicer now:)
Store owner replied:
That is the perfect morning routine Katherine. Simple, quick, and you are out the door feeling like yourself. Love it.
After trying several things I'd settled for eyebrows that were just there. These look much nicer than that. Soft edges, little hair strokes, and the shape I remember. I'm happy to take the extra moment to do them now.
The comparison says it all, really. My usual pencil gives me that solid filled-in look, especially through the middle. With this pen I can add separate little strokes instead. I still follow the same shape, but the finish is much softer. I hadn’t realised how much I preferred that until I took these pictures.
I was expecting the fine lines to look sharp against my skin. They're soft, and they sit nicely between my own hairs. I'm really happy with how the whole brow looks, not just the little bits close up.
Store owner replied:
Margaret this made us smile. Decades of plucking and the Micro-Stroke Pen finally has you covered. That is exactly what it was built for and we are so glad it is working for you.
You can see how individualistic the hairs are. I love this micro stroke pen.
My hair is white now and I quite like it, but I still want a little definition around my eyes. I was worried filled-in brows would look too strong. These are just enough. I feel more put together, even with very little other makeup on.
I wanted something that would look good in my normal bathroom mirror, not just in a flattering selfie. I’m pleased with this. The sparse areas look filled in, but I can still see the little hairs and spaces between them. I haven’t tried to make both brows perfectly identical either. They look more like me this way.
Store owner replied:
Charlotte that is so great to hear, thank you. Natural-looking and easy to use is exactly what we designed for. We are glad the dual tip is working well for you too.

Our story
Awaken Beauty Lab's Story
Awaken Beauty Lab was created after a close family member deeply struggled with their sparse brows and makeup that looked noticeably drawn on. Her experience inspired our purpose: soft,
natural-looking definition, even where brow hair is sparse or completely missing.
